The Auld Course is San Diego’s newest championship golf
course. Nestled in the peaceful foothills of Mt. Miguel, the 280-acre layout is an ideal location for golf enthusiasts with its protected wildlife refuge surrounding the course
and fantastic views of the Pacific Ocean. Designed by John Cook, the course features rolling hills, three lakes, seventy eight bunkers and acres of lush wetlands. The Auld
Clubhouse features a full service Golf Shop, Bar & Grill as well as Banquet & Meeting space. The Bar and Grill serves lunch daily along with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres until
sunset. The course includes a 50 station driving range, putting green and practice chipping green and sand bunkers.
The Scottish links styling combined with the incredible design talents of Cary Bickler and PGA Tour Pro
John Cook make this one of San Diego's most unique and enjoyable tracks. Featuring generous fairways,
flat bunkering and ample run-up space, the Auld is a very friendly and playable course. From the whites, it
is 6,118 yards (6,525 from the gold, or blues), with only one true threat of out-of- bounds and two forced carries off the tee.
The Auld Course is set among the foothills of Mt. Miguel at the east end of H Street (Proctor Valley Road)
and Hunte Parkway in Chula Vista. This location is beneficial for several reasons. First, it allowed the
course to be laid out in such a way that housing projects and other types of "modern growth" will never
disturb its peaceful serenity. The Auld Course is bordered to the north by a state park and surrounded on the other sides by protected habitats.
